Re: Colombia to sever relations with Israel amid ‘genocidal’ war in Gaza – Middle East Monitor

With all respect for the President’s ‘liberation theology’ background and his attempts to strike a balance within the Colombian politics for an improvement for the common man; he and many other left leaning politicians across the globe, are anchored into their ideologies, which allow them to close an eye to atrocities committed against those that seemingly do not fit into their category of oppressed peoples. For the left leaners, Gazans are oppressed, and the population of Negev are not oppressed. So in their logic, they can conveniently close an eye to the atrocities committed by an oppressed group of people, against a non oppressed group of people, even if the oppressed Gazans on the 7th of October, crossed over the border and terrorised the festival goers and the farmers in Negev, killing one every 76 seconds. These atrocities are tolerable for the left leaning liberationists. But as we see for six months, these atrocities are not tolerable for the Israeli population. Wars are easy to start … but difficult to stop. Murder is murder, if the victim is oppressed or not oppressed.
