As an embarrassed Greek i can confirm these are mostly communist idiots. I don’t even consider them Greeks in anything but name as they don’t care about Hellenism. If anything most of them are antihellenic. They are obsessed with leftist ideology. That’s their real identity. The average Greek’s mentality towards capitalism is improving under Mitiskokis for the first time since the 50s Back then our economy boomed after our civil war with Greek communists. They committed treason for the sake of our irredentist former Yugoslavian neighbors and communist mass murdering dictator Joseph Stalin. Nevertheless a segment of Greeks are extreme left to this day. Along with various other protests they have every communist May Day they come out whining about capitalism,
It’s these sorts of Greeks that destroyed our government fiances with their shameless demands for handouts through endless rioting and strikes used to coerce whatever party was in power to give into their demands. Eventually the proverbial chicken came home to roost. Rather than focus on their own productivity these sort of Greeks blame everyone but themselves for their economic problems.
It’s like they learning nothing from the mess communists made of their countries during the cold war. They don’t understand economics at all. They don’t understand money doesn’t grow on government money trees. They don’t understand our level of services are dependent on how much we produce in the private sector. They don’t understand large corporation bring economies of scale which is what leads to productivity gains.. which in turn allows a company to be globally competitive….. which creates jobs… which raises quality of life.
The don’t even understand basic arithmetic. If you took all the wealth of top 1 percent of rich people in Greece and distributed their money evenly to the rest of the Greek population, it would be a small one time lump sum payment. Fanatical morons.
