Most of the EU agrees Hamas are extremists and Israel is justified to use force..The problem is Netanyahu isn’t coming across as a moderate himself. He smears everyone that criticizes him of being “antisemitic’, he’s using too much force against non-Hamas targets, half of which are children, seemingly to force all Arabs out of Israel, he continues to flaunt international law with illegal settlements, he promotes river-to-the sea much like Hamas, he attacks Israel’s own justice system while accused of corruption, and he has undemocratic terrorist Meir Kahane’s theocratic disciples as ministers.
Everyone understands he’s counting on the christian religious fundy element in the US to back him but even if they did, and he got everything he wanted, without a two-state solution, all he would have achieved is kick the proverbial can down for future conflicts. Like far right elements in other countries, he fails to under to understand he unwittingly harms Israel’s interests by taking his nationalism too far.
