Frankly I’m surprised you don’t seem to have faith in the IDF’s huge advantages over Hamas. It’s not even close.
The IDF can completely ignore the US objections, enter Rafah, rescue the hostages, decimate the remaining Hamas battalions, take some casualties, … kill some more innocents, hopefully minimal.
Objectives met. Hostages liberated and Hamas decimated.
Nothing Uncle Sam can do but sit on the sideline.
