Paragraph 11 of UN Resolution 194, which required that those returning should and desiring to “live at peace with their neighbors should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date.” The Right of Return for today for more over six million Palestinians registered with UNRWA is a weapon for the demographic destruction of Israel, and fits neither the “live at peace” clause nor the “earliest practicable date” clause. There is no practical way for Israel to accept and enable its own demise.
The original refugees are long gone, but Palestinian Arab refugees are the only refugees in the world whose status is permanently inherited and grows larger every year. Had they accepted Israel’s right to exist, they would be celebrating 76 years of independent statehood today with pre-1967 borders. They chose war to gain everything several times and they lost each time.
There are two million Palestinian Arabs living in Israel proper as citizens today, on land that hypocritical activists say is ethnically cleansed.
