Theodor Herzl had the wrong impression about himself and his Jewish people and he believed that they deserved to have the most gracious invitation by the Ottoman government to go to Palestine – but 3 years earlier, the Ottoman government described the Jews as 'an objectionable class'. There is no doubt that Theodor Herzl was deep in delusion.
