Maybe it was successful in demonstrating to the American public that government power can’t be given without careful consideration and oversight because it is too great of a temptation to abuse it. Then again…how many people put on face diapers when the government claimed the authority to order it for “a couple of weeks (actually years) to flatten the COVID curve”
