The UN (including the EU) UNIFIL peace-keepers south of the Litany River in southern Lebanon has been a laugh, described as both useless and helpless. The Hezbollah military operations and missile launching, are observed by UNIFIL peace-keepers, without their intervention. The peace-keepers are conveniently used as human shields by Hezbollah.
The Litani River at one time in the past was the northern frontier of the Kingdoms of Israel. Hopefully Israel will not have another border expansion if Hezbollah invades.
