The shift in the West’s thinking is sadly not universal. Where huge amounts of populations have protested and supported the Palestinian cause, the economic and political elite do mot realise how they are damaging their own society. This level of discrepancy between population and politics in particular will result in populations looking for other forms of Governance that is more representative.
