I’m not sure “dumb” is the correct term. First. American public opinion is controlled by the media, and this is reinforced via the educational system, as well as censorship online. To correct this “dumbness” Americans would need 3 things…one is the information that they are blocked from seeing…second is the motivation to investigate…and third is an economy that allows people the time to investigate and question what the media and government are telling them. The average blue collar worker that comes home exhausted after 8 hours of labor isn’t likely to turn off the passive entertainment of TV to go study the specific historical details of the Nakba massacres or the provisions of the Oslo Accords. American society has been molded and shaped into this mental prison. Those who try to deviate from the zionist narrative must not only sacrifice their free time, but also be willing to face the harassment of social media banning, reputational damage, and social isolation via the “cancel culture” along with the financial risks of loss that being targeted entail. Admittedly, these consequences are not an absolute blockage to investigating and seeking out the truth, but they are designed to keep the public “in line” and punish those who choose to question the approved narrative.
