Re: ‘We cannot remain silent’: Turkish foreign minister condemns Israeli oppression in Gaza – Middle East Monitor

Hakan Fidan can’t see the forest for the trees. Israel didn’t want or start this war, is was Gaza on the 7th. Oct. At that time they fired over 5,000 rockets into Israel, every one being a war crime because they were not guided. Then they slaughtered over 200 men, women and children in Israel who were non combatant, not armed and just attending a music festival, another blatant war crime. Then Gaza took over 200 persons in Israel as hostages, again men, women and children who were non combatant, not armed, and no threat whatsoever, a third blatant war crime. Where is Mr. Fidans’ condemnation of Gaza/Hamas, not only for starting this war, but their blatant war crimes in doing so? Maybe this cretan, Fidan, feels that since Hamas/Gaza are terrorists, that no more should be expected of them, so they get a free ride? Yes, he is concerned about the number of civilian casualties in Gaza, and yes there are more killed than normal, but WHY?? Because Hamas is using Gazan civilians as human shields. They are using schools to store munitions and hide operatives, they are using mosques as command centers and as places to store munitions, they use ambulances to transport operatives and munitions and they place rockets, mortars near private residences. So I ask, what is Israel supposed to do when they are attacked like this? Are they not allowed to defend themselves because the enemy is entrenched behind civilians? Fidan is doing exactly what Hamas/Gaza want them to do. They commit the war crimes and try to make it look like Israel is to blame. If this the best that Turkey can offer, they should be kicked out of NATO.
