You’re right but also a large group of Festival goers, which tried to flee in their cars, didn’t had any chance against Apache Attack helicopters, drones or tanks firing at them, while they try to escape. Some got killed, by the failure of the collapsed military intelligence and coordination and the unfolding panic in the reaction.
It was a complex mission and there was Hamas/PiJ armed fighters, between Israeli and foreign civilians, distinction between combatants/non-combatants isn’t a professional excellence of the Armed forces, that is how mistakes happen, that is what the Israeli Government says, all the time.
The big pile of shelled cars after the event on Okt.7, is a clear sign, of heavy weaponry used to shell them.
Psytrance festivals, also had in their mind and spirit: Non discrimination, equal human rights and a multicultural approach, it was never mind as a propaganda tool, for exclusion and hatred against any other group of human beings.
How and why was such a festival area, with multicultural approach in mind, by the Government, put in an area close to the Gaza-Border area, where a besieged population suffered of exclusion and denied of many rights, where a crippling siege and many systemic discriminations, kept them, to suffer under the siege?
What was the Israeli-Government thinking of such festivals, which by their design had a non-discriminatory/multicultural and equal human rights as their Spiritual nature, of this
“Music-culture” to propagate with it in mind? I couldn’t believe that Mr. Netanyahu and his Governments ever where fans of it.
Since Okt.7 it had became another Propaganda piece, for inciting hatred, with it, it discredited the very popular Israeli Psytrance Scene as a whole, a part of the spirit of those festivals and Artists of and in Israel is lost. It was a brutal eruption of violence by Palestinian armed groups from Gaza like Hamas/PiJ, the brutal attacks against civilians are to condemn, part of the story are also, that many of the targets attacked and overrun by these groups, was military targets and infrastructure in the gaza envelope, the Kibbutzims close to the Gazan-border fence, came under attack and overwhelmed, partly, by the pace the violent armed groups made gains, on that day, where all control, security and military coordination, collapsed in the Gaza envelope and got overwhelmed!
The inciting of hatred against palestinians, especially of the Gazan-Palestinians, since then, put the Utopic idea and ideology of an ethnic cleansed Israel, with sovereignty and rights exclusively of Jewish-Israeli dominance, the dehumanizing of Palestinians, in to a totalitarian warfare against Christian palestinian and Muslim/Arab Palestinian civilian society. There is no sense left, of seeing or accepting Palestinians as equal human beings, which have to live together, in one land, side by side in Peace. That such a warfare and violence is unfolding and Palestinians as a whole, are dehumanised and hated, to such an extent, to erode any sense of humanity of a Civil-Society and these hatred is spreading by cancer-like metasticise in all parts of the country, which Palestinians and Israeli’s have to live in, brings the whole never solved conflict to a level, where words, diplomacy and humanity has failed and lost any sense of description, to come to mind again, to stop and end the violence, evolving out of normalized and legitimized dehumanizing hatred and rhetorik, in disrespect of human lifes, “Of the Others”, as a group of human beings and their society, now unfolding!
It is a very dark time of humankind, which now becomes part of the history, day after day.
