Since “Israel” provided the West Bank Palestinians with some free time off work, now would be a good time to start mapping out good targets for coordinated arson attacks within “Israel”. Fire is such an effective “force multiplier for insurgency operations because a fire can be started by one person with a simply-constructed Molotov cocktail or easy napalm alternate (i.e. Styrofoam + laundry detergent + gasoline), yet it takes multiple firefighters an hour or more to extinguish…meaning that with very little effort, a small crew can quickly occupy the time and overwhelm a larger firefighting force.
Naturally, this isn’t feasible in an area where there are homes or businesses of local populations that you want to “win the hearts and minds of” and not alienate against your cause…but when behind enemy lines, it has the advantage of creating chaos using locally sourced materials….thus, diminishing the faith their local population has in the occupying force’s ability to protect them….so, the real goal isn’t as much the total quantity of physical destruction as it is to psychologically impact the confidence of that population and make them doubt the security that the occupying force is offering them.
