Murder and taking hostages only applies to civilians. Some civilians were sadly lost as collateral damage in the just effort of eliminating the Zionist terrorists. Most of those killed were in combat and they were either reservists or active duty military/police. Combatants unless you’re a Zionist propagandist. Taking enemy combatants is called prisoners of war. Very few hostages were taken and those civilians could have been released the same day. However the Zionists rejected the offer and decided to employ their genocidal ambitions to take Gaza.
Last but not least as occupied people the Palestinians have any means at their disposal to end the occupation. Thankfully Qassam brigades is the most army in the world and refrains from harming non enemy combatants. Otherwise they could kill every Zionist in occupied Palestine and it would be perfectly legal and justified.
