This is just so shocking but the copilot should have used another excuse – such as that there was a passenger on the plane who needed urgent medical care. After the passengers had arrived at their destination and came to learn what the real reason was, they would have appreciated him for being so thoughtful. When I was looking at the picture of the pilot before reading the article, it is not hard to immediately recognize that he was way overweight.
