The Palestinian Jackal is smaller than a wolf, with relatively shorter legs and tail. It is larger than a fox and can be distinguished by its relatively smaller, rufous ears and shorter, black-tipped tail. It is similar to a small dog in appearance. For unknown reasons at the end of the first week of October of 2023, thousands of these managed to penetrate through, over and under the barrier between Gaza jackaland and the Negev wolverineland. Possibly infected with rabies, they snuck into the wolverine dens and killed as many as they could find, yet managed to drag back to Jackaland a few hundred pups. Upon returning from hunting, the wolverines saw the massacres and started searching for their kits. In over nine months of searching, the ferocious apex predators have shredded alive numerous packs of Gazan jackals, and only managed to recover half their kits. But the wolverines are still on the rampage until they eliminate the rabid jackals that attacked heir dens.
