That is precisely why the real Israel missed their messiah…they were thinking too small. The Kingdom of God is far bigger than just overthrowing the Romans. Jesus had to die to be the final sacrifice of blood that fulfilled the law and paid for sin…and he couldn’t end his own life..,.so he used the corruption of the religious leaders and Roman’s to accomplish that sacrifice.
