The European news used to dread to identify themselves as Hungarian news, Ukrainian news, Russian news, Polish news, and so on and when they came to Palestine, they decided that they were going to call themselves Palestinians but they waited until the Ottoman Empire was gone and between 1918 and 1948, for 30 years, these very foreign European news were identifying themselves as Palestinians – even as ‘native Palestinians’. And it was only the day before they coined a brand new nationality name of ‘Israelis’ ( copying from Arabic nationality names such a Yemenis, Iraqis, Saudis) that they decided to abandon calling themselves Palestinians. The Palestinians are really the most unfortunate people because the people who are occupying their country have no identity of their own!
