The writer misses the point of Israel’s 7 Oct response.
Yeah, Hamas is the poster child for the war in Gaza.
But I’ve felt, even before 7 Oct, that Israel had been shifting towards hard right Zionism .
Thus, their response to 7 Oct was to drive Palestinians out of Israel by all means necessary:
By demolishing Gaza with 500/2000 lb bombs, killing innocents at will (genocide), withholding food (famine), withholding water/electricity, preventing medicine getting in, killing journalists at will, … etc
There is no “day after” plan for Palestinians in Gaza for a reason: the hard right Zionist movement wants them out, for good.
In the West Bank, different strategies but same goal:
Ethnically cleaned of Palestinians in Gaza and the WB.
Seems crystal clear to me.
