The only reason why the European Jews wanted to have Palestine for their state and the only reason why the Christians of Europe were supporting them to get Palestine was because they all believed that the European Jews used to live there and then they were kicked out by the Romans 2000 years ago and therefore that land belongs to them! But if none of it is true, how else are they entitled to Palestine? In fact, Balfour had two reasons why he believed the Jews belonged in Palestine: 1) he believed that the Jews in Europe could never feel like they are a part of the Christian community and that they were hostile to the Christians of Europe and he wanted them removed out of Europe. 2) he truly believed that the Ashkenazi were the Hebrews who had the right to Palestine because it is their ancient homeland. Are you saying that it should not matter that the Jews used a fabricated story to get Palestine?
