We know that the Gazan jihadis and their backers wanted a war. To ensure the mobilisation of Israeli forces, the initial attack on 7 October 2023 needed to be strong enough that Israeli would have no choice but to accept the challenge.
So although many countries around the globe and including the MENA region in appearance call for a cease-fire, the two principal belligerents seem to be quite determined to continue fighting.
It does not seem likely that hardened jihadis will want a cease-fire, which would keep them from jihad. Instead they want to fight on and on and on. The Palestinian holy-roller warriors are meant to fight, not to live in peace. Nor even cease-fire.
Soleimani and Haniyeh have prepared many mats for them them to sleep and rest from their jihadi lives of struggle. At least they will no longer need to pray.
