What you do not understand is that Israel has continued to commit massive genocidal attacks on Palestinian men, women, and children and rounded up thousands of hostages of all ages to purposely and specifically torture them since 1948.
Palestinians were not given any choices in this multi-decades long ongoing genocide, but Israel purposely and intentionally invited the October 7th attack upon the people of Israel, and could have stopped it at any time in the last 76 years by simply laying down their arms, ceasing their relentless killing of Palestinians and releasing all the hostages.
