Hamas as a political party were elected in 2006,I think because th PA were seen as corrupt.
Neither you nor I know how many Gazan`s support Hamas or how many fear Hamas but to just lump everyone in Gaza in the same boat because of an election 18 years ago is wrong.
You might also want to take into account that about half of them were not even born in 2006.
