It is they label them a terrorist group, which has military capabilities at least for waging guerilla warfare, it is like dehumanising as declare: “Killable” all which are maybe affiliated or part of this Armed groups… The territory these group is living in, with it’s civilian population, as well are dehumanised to the exte that their livelihoods, civilian society, civilian infrastructure becomes destructible, possibly targeted, reduced to rubble etc.
By declaring the fight on terror, it declares all living in these area subhumans. It is evil but definitely how the last 2-3 decades, these wars where waged.
Destinction, even if technologically possible by hi-tech surveillance and attack drones to limit the civilian casualties and killed, injured and maimed civilians, they often do not.
Precaution by patiently surveillance of the area before attacking, often didn’t become part if the calculations.
Proportionality? We have seen some scorched earth areas… Which look more then wanton destruction uninhabitable for someone to live there…Often they just don’t care.
It is a shame and shocking: That by just declaring any armed group: Terrorists, which diminishes the group, ,the civilian population and the territory, to an status of no-rights for
existence, it dehumanises it all together to a subhuman standard not equal to have any rights of International humanitarian law, preemptory norms, Geneva conventions, rome statute orthe UN-Charter… It is absolutely wrong and as cruel and evil as it could.
