I have nothing to do with Hamas or anyone in Israel or Palestine, despite having both Israeli and Palestinian friends, none of whom live in Israel or Palestine any more. So your “you do have a choice” is completely misdirected. Everyone wants the hostages returned, but we all wanted them returned in November when Israel had been presented with the right path forward. It didn’t take it and instead took its usual route of creating vexatious squabbles in order to start bombing again. Biden certainly wasn’t talking about hostages, and especially not the American hostages. Harris was the first to speak of them publicly after she met with American families of the hostages in this past spring, and had to be begged by them to consider their lives. Not cool.
