There are no documents that talk about the Jews living in Palestine before 1882. The Jews who used to live in Palestine in the old days did not disappear but instead they converted first to Christianity and then to Islam until none were left. The Ashkenazi make up 95% of the Jews of the world and they are a European people who converted to Judaism in the 9th century.
