It really was rather embarrassing watching Turkey abase itself, begging for EU membership. I am sure that must have caused quite a few chuckles in Belgium! I mean I was smiling and shaking my head. Turkey appeared to have no pride or self respect. They were literally willing to do anything to be accepted into the EU club. And the Europeans enjoyed the show!
Now that Turkey has applied for BRICS membership, the Europeans are saying, ‘No, no come back! You still have a chance with us! Let’s talk about it!” If Turkey goes scraping back to them, it will deserve everything the Europeans do to it. And the Europeans will slice and dice Turkey again. Why? Because that is what they do.
