There are so many reasons why I resent the Turkish government when it comes to the question of Palestine. Let me list them.
1 Turkey recognized the entity in 1950 only two years after they committed so many horrific crimes against the Palestinians.
2 Turkey was the first Muslim country that exchanged ambassadors with the entity in 1951.
3 When I went through the speeches delivered at the United Nations by the Turkish delegates, the word ‘Palestine’ was completely absent from their speeches which I found to be so shocking because when I looked at the speeches given by the Arab countries, they mentioned Palestine a lot.
4 From 1944 to 1947, thousands of European Jews arrived in Turkey using it as a transit center to go to Palestine! How was it possible that a Muslim country would make it so easy for the European Jews to enter Palestine?
5 President Erdogan and his wife were the only Muslims that I am aware of who went to visit the Jewish Holocaust Museum with flowers in their hands – and so I had to ask: where was the Holocaust Museum for the Palestinians?
6. When Turkey and Saudi Arabia were in conflict over the killing of the Saudi Arabian journalist – Jamal Khashoggi – who got killed in Turkey, I was shocked to hear Erdogan brag about being a member of NATO – therefore – he was going to involve NATO in a dispute between two Muslim countries! I found that to be very embarrassing.

Having said all of the above, I still have to be very careful saying too many things against President Erdogan because Turkey is a Muslim country.
