Yes … Egypt crossed the Suez Canal and entered the Sinai Peninsula with their troops until the Egyptian army made the decisive error that lost them the war by bringing another Egyptian division across the Canal leaving NO ARMY ON THE EAST BANK of the Suez … which General Sharon crossed with a smallish group leaving Egypt’s army cut off without any supply lines / a clear military blunder
As a result … the Egyptian Army was forced to surrender ignominiously
