Israel’s apologists should look in a mirror. Self-reflection does the soul good: None of this had to happen. Israel could have gotten her back a long time ago simply by agreeing to a ceasefire. But Israel chose death. Even May Golan of the Likud party admits that Israel’s choice didn’t start with October 7, but with the Nakba. But Israel and its apologists will not look in the mirror. They’ve made their choice, it’s darkened their hearts, and it’s no longer a human thing looks back at them.
