Iran’s first-time direct attacks against Israel on 13Apr2024 with loiters, cruise and ballistics, set the stage international acceptance of an Israeli first-time direct aerial strike on 19Apr2024 upon the radar systems at the airbase in central Iran outside of Isfahan. Now both countries have no longer need the precedent of direct-striking. Both countries know that their aerial attacks can be successful.
Iran’s second direct attack against Israel on 01Oct2024 with ballistics, now has conditioned the international acceptance of yet a further Israeli counter-attack, which will probably occur at Israel’s convenience within days/weeks.
Israel’s challenge is to strike and demonstrate to the Iranian population that the Iranian military defences are very vulnerable to further escalation, and in consequence inviting the Iranian leaders to reconsider their hard line towards Israel.
