Re: Young Jordanians begin hunger strike to pressure Israel to allow aid into northern Gaza

The very foreign European Jews did not come looking for tiny Palestine but for the entire region from the Nile River to the Euphrates River.

Weizmann: 8 July 1947: There is no question about it that when Palestine was promised, when the Declaration was given, when the Mandate was written Palestine” was understood “Palestine and Trans-Jordan”. Then Trans-Jordan” was cut-off.

Jabotinsky – 1937: The term “Palestine,” when I employ it, will mean the area on both sides of the Jordan, the area mentioned in the original Palestine Mandate. B

Ben Gurion 1937: The acceptance of partition does not commit us to renounce Transjordan: one does not demand from anybody to give up his vision. We shall accept a state in the boundaries fixed today, but the boundaries of Zionist aspirations are the concern of the Jewish people and no external factor will be able to limit them.
