Re: The PA’s misplaced optimism – Middle East Monitor

He– Abu Mazen—embodies the concerns that should alert every honest leader, activist, dreamer, and anti-colonialist. These concerns should keep them wary of any potential infiltration by figures like him into genuine, sincere movements. He represents a blend of Sadat, Mubarak, and Sisi in one person. Should Nasser have been aware of this possibility? Should Arafat have been?

Looking back 70 years, should Jinnah have been aware of the nepotistic, tribal, feudal landlords that made up the upper echelons of his support base? He should have been. Had he been more concerned, Jinnah could have prevented the degeneration that has ensnared Pakistan.

This brings us to the question of building from ground up a community informed by dedication,self-negation,passion for justice, ruthlessness in imposing justice, and equitablity while fighting for whats belong to the community .
