Actually they should not simply close their airspace, but disinvite the US from their territory as well and have them dismantle and remove all their bases. Just like what Iraq is doing. I am pretty sure MENA is waking up to the fact that the US is all about advancing their “extraterritoriality creep” in order to establish defacto military control over any country (region usually is what they go after – spheres of influence) it believes it needs to dominate, exploit and manipulate out of its “self-interest.” It basically carries out gaslighting wherever it goes claiming that “your interests are our interests” after having delivered massive threats, shocks, intimidation and physical violence to destroy other people’s sense of self, self-worth, etc. It is called “propaganda of the deed.” Destroy people first letting them know that will be the only outcome to them believing they are human. Israel is its mini-me.
