Herman Rosenblatt had a funny “story” how he threw an apple across the fence of Auschwitz to his wife and while he was being pushed forward she was being pushed backwards and she caught the apple!!
When the truth was discovered that he never left NYC in his life, he was called by one of the programs that had him as a guest, to come and explain why he lied. He said “in my mind, it happened. So it happened. I wasn’t lying”
