Sounds like failing faith in the future of Israel drove out the 10,000. And that 10,000 is just to Canada. Some 1,000,000 are elsewhere reported to have emigrated over the past year, and it’s reported that this number is substantially larger than the year before that. Does Israel really expect peace and stability when it believes that the solution to its problems lie in the habit of conducting massacres and demolitions in Gaza and Lebanon every so many years, and of encouraging pogroms against West Bank Palestinians every so often, and of randomly detaining Palestinians on a daily basis and of keeping them in prison without charge or trial, and of setting snipers loose on Palestinian kids as they play in the streets? Only a deluded religious zealot can believe that’s the way forward, but no sane and decent human being can choose to live that way.
