I just saw an Irish film starring Cillian Murphy called: ‘Small Things Like These’
It shows life in Ireland circa 1980’s in a small town village … dominated by a school run by nuns … where pregnant young women are dropped off to have their out of wedlock children … but must stay on to ‘pay penance’ for their sins by working as virtual slave laborers … the children are ‘sold’ / adopted out
The vile church rules over the town keeping everyone ‘in place’ while making sure ‘their secrets’ remain hidden
Ireland / Irish culture has much to answer for … they need to remember that ‘those who live in glass houses … ‘ … ya follow?
