I saw an Israeli film called ‘Marry Me However’ about the large numbers of gay Orthodox Israelis forced by rabbis to repress their identity, undergo conversion therapy or marry heterosexual partners. The exceptionally moving documentary highlights the suffering of its gay victims, some driven to suicide.
Israeli culture has much to answer for. They need to remember that those in glass houses… well – you know the rest.
