I think you must mean haredi because orthodox are actually pretty gay friendly, or at least turn a blind eye. Jewish communities in the west have been gay friendly so long as it was seen thus by the wider community.
Can’t say how things were in Mizrachi and Sephardi communities but since most of them are now living in the free world I guess they have also gone the same way.
