You can couch it anyway you want, but the bottom line is that Hamas intentionally created this mess by massacring Israelis and rounding up hundreds of Israelis of all ages as hostages, knowing that Israel would have to respond in the most aggressive manner so Hamas cannot do this again. And Hamas is only to happy to use their civilian populations as human shields, or they would have ended this a year ago.
