If it were not for the US veto, Israel would already be facing a SC ceasefire decision that would have to be militarily enforced upon it, because it is carrying out genocide. States don’t get to carry out genocide for any reason. No one gets to carry out genocide for any reason. So trying to justify Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians on the basis of Hamas’s attack Oct.7 is completely wrong. Israel was instructed months ago by the ICJ to ceasefire and withdraw from Gaza. It was also instructed months and months ago by the ICJ to withdraw from all of the OPT, and moreover, that no state should in anyway assist further with its occupation of Palestine.
Obviously, the US doesn’t like the ICJ rulings, nor the ICC, because its aim has always been the liquidation of Palestine. Obama stated that the US should shift its policy on Israel-Palestine and support a two-state solution.
Do you think that was because Obama himself realized that Israel is a fascist state?
