nor should it. Iran’s theocratic dictatorship is weak and unimportant and Iranian expansionism is a threat only to the impoverished of the Arab states.
Iran doesn’t threaten US interests in any but peripheral ways.
the US need no nothing more than blunt Iranian expansionism and contain the reactionary regime. it will not be able to endure the anger that the repressive policies engenders in the young Iranians.
