Re: France to apply international law regarding ICC arrest warrant for Netanyahu

Nonsense. The Palestinians were citizens of the Ottoman Empire, represented as Palestinians in its government and conscripted by it to serve in WWI. Just because the Ottoman Empire was defeated by Britain doesn’t mean that the Palestinians were stateless. What a brainless thing to say!

Moreover, European laws of war from long before WWI, even, already prohibited “states” from taking any privately owned land in any territory they conquered. Palestinians owned and cultivated most all of the land able to be cultivated in Palestine. They were highly successful international exporters of goods. They still owned and cultivated most all of the land in Palestine until the Nakba, when Israel ethnically cleansed Palestine. This was not an ‘accidental’ event. The Zionists had been writing about the need to ethnically cleanse Palestine of “Arabs” since they started as Zionists. And they were clear, if they couldn’t convince them or force them, they would kill them.

After Britain colonized Palestine in 1917, in 1925 it gave the Ottoman Palestinians citizenship of Palestine. You live in the ridiculous Zionist myth of Palestine being “a land for a people without a land.” The Palestinians were definitely people with a land. Britain violated its Mandate over Palestine even – it violated CRITICAL articles of its Mandate – with the Mandate itself being an anomaly within the Mandate system set up by the colonial powers in their transition away from colonialism. Palestine, which was over 90% Muslim and Christian at the time, was determined to be developed and sophisticated enough to be temporarily “mandated” to British occupation (with all the responsibilities an occupying power must carry out in relation to the people who lived there) along a path to independence.

The lies you people tell. They weren’t stateless.
