The story of Hind Rajab affected so many people around the world, like a shock wave expanding outwards. Then alongside that, the videos and stories of Khaled Nabhan cradling his dead granddaughter Reem who was killed by Israeli bombs, then feeding and caring for both orphans and stray cats in Rafah, then himself being killed by another Israeli airstrike, brought on the tsunami. Even then Israel doesn’t get it, that ordinary people around the world don’t like what it’s doing in Gaza. These same ordinary folks also see the videos of Israeli soldiers leering and destroying, and of Israeli civilians mocking and jeering, the frightened, starving, and terrorized people of Gaza. Instead, Israel thinks it can throw in some extra money for some extra propaganda and magically whitewash it all away. But what is done is done. They are truly lost and delusional.
