I saw the video of the young man’s murder. It was in broad daylight and he was clearly marked as PRESS. He was also clearly doing his work providing journalistic coverage of the rescue of an injured Palestinian. I also saw his photo where he’s posing decked out in his journalist’s gear and holding his camera. One can clearly sense the gratitude in his expression for the job that he’s obtained, and the pride. The local journalists who document the people’s stories have become the pride of Gazans. His murder is a war crime pure and simple. May his murderer and all those who enabled his murder and all those who cheer it and whitewash it meet their own karma.
