After having a read I couldn’t believe it myself as the PA isn’t democratically elected but rather with the West’s backing pushed out the winner of last election Hamas just before they didn’t meet a certain criteria of Palestine governance and coordination cooperation requirements with Israel according to US National Security Coordinator. Türkiye is pro-Hamas and this is where things become more complicated. A similar move by US is being played out in Pakistan where the government must be pro-Washington. If there is enough resistance locally there you can either expect rebellion or civil war. Either way I hate to see innocent civilian lives put at risk.
