Probably the smartest thing to do would be to expand Gaza to include at least the Gaza envelope as part of Israel’s restitution to Palestinians for the Nakba and start on that aspect of dismantling Israel and its occupation of Palestine. Obviously Israel is responsible for the full cost of all its criminal activity and will probably have to be put into some type of receivership until such a point as full damages can be collected from it. It’s written right into the ICJ advisory that UN members are not to contribute in any way to Israel’s illegal occupation of the OPT. It’s long past time, but it’s definitely time for Israel to pay up all its overdue accounts.
