It took the Spanish over 700 years for the “reconquista” but in the end they prevailed. You are talking about only 360 sq. km. so it will take less time. If Israel prevents any aid in other than through Rafah and prevents any reconstruction that it would be a short wait. Israel was in charge of Gaza 1967-2005 and for the most part it was pacified.
