It was all preventable as Hamas intentionally massacred Israelis and rounded up hostages of all ages on Oct 7th to initiate this response, and had the option over 15 months ago to lay down their arms and release all the hostages.
There is no question that this mess was intentional by Hamas, and it is never going to over while Hamas is their leader. Hamas’s stated goal is the complete destruction of Israel. To Hamas, a two state solution is considered defeat, so who are you going to talk to???– I challenge anyone to answer that question.
