Re: Contrasting reality: Treatment of Israeli and Palestinian prisoners

Israel exists today, as it began – as a military garrison state with no democratic mandate, for factional US led interests – in the strategically critical Eastern Mediterranean. Buoyed and heavily dependent upon continued US and US allied diplomatic, military and financial support.

On Nov. 29, 1947 and some two years after WW2 – the United Nations Organisation Palestine partition resolution 181 was passed – along with a request “the Security Council take the necessary measures to maintain peace – as provided for in the plan for its implementation” (which the Security Council never did).

Within months Militant Zionists unlawfully displaced 413,794 indigenous Palestinians (contrary to the purpose of the very Mandate that had served to facilitate high levels of Jewish population inward migration (in the aftermath of WW1). Zionist military units had stealthily been preparing for war before the U.N. vote (acquiring massive weaponry, some of it through a widespread network of illicit gunrunning operations in the U.S. under a number of front groups).
